About

A surgeon trained at the intersection of technique and quality.

Dr. Jasvinder Singh is a board-certified general surgeon with fellowship training in colorectal surgery, bringing together advanced surgical technique, peer-reviewed research, and a public-health perspective on how care is actually delivered.

He earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, one of India's premier medical institutions, and trained in general surgery in the United States — beginning with an internship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and completing residency at New York Medical College / Westchester Medical Center. He then pursued a post-doctoral research fellowship in surgical oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by fellowship training in colorectal surgery at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in affiliation with the University of Illinois at Chicago.

To deepen his expertise in healthcare delivery, Dr. Singh earned a Master of Public Health in Quality and Patient Safety from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health — a perspective that informs every aspect of his clinical work.

He has authored peer-reviewed publications and presented at major national conferences including the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and SAGES. His research spans colorectal cancer, retroperitoneal sarcoma, surgical quality improvement, and novel diagnostic technologies including hyperspectral imaging.

Approach to Care

Unhurried. Evidence-based. Yours.

Time, not transaction.

Dr. Singh believes good surgical care begins with a conversation. Visits are structured to leave room for explanation, questions, and shared decision-making — because no patient should leave a consultation more confused than when they arrived.

Quality as a discipline.

A Master of Public Health in Quality and Patient Safety from Johns Hopkins is more than a credential — it's a framework. Every recommendation is grounded in the best available evidence and delivered against measurable standards of care.

Minimally invasive when appropriate.

Wherever it serves the patient, Dr. Singh offers minimally invasive and laparoscopic approaches that reduce recovery time without compromising surgical outcomes.

Continuity, beyond the operating room.

Surgical care doesn't end at discharge. Dr. Singh stays personally involved through follow-up, recovery, and long-term surveillance — particularly for patients managing chronic colorectal or oncologic conditions.
